Dryer motor runs, but no estrus
To accomplish the heating element you simply need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power. To remove the heating chemical element at that place are 2 small-scale nut-head screws. Remove the two electric wires. And so you tin pull the heating element away. You can check the heating element with an ohm-meter or visually inspect it to see if the heating element screw wire is broken. Don't bustle to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric condom function. You lot'll demand to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it).. Adept luck.
Dryer Heating Element
PartSelect Number PS11741416
Manufacturer Part Number WP3387747
When connected to electricity the dryer heating chemical element (Metal frame, Metal element ringlet, Ceramic coil insulators) glows red hot and generates oestrus. When air is blown over it, information technology heats the air which is used to dry the clothes. The heating element fits inside the heater housing inside the dryer. Wear and tear on the heater coil from use will eventually crusade the coil to pause and the element to fail. When this office fails it can cease to produce any heat. Alternately, the coil could pause and short to ground assuasive the dryer to continue to heat even when turned off. The latter is a fire gamble and the dryer should be disconnected from power until the chemical element is replaced. If the chemical element coil breaks, the chemical element needs to be replaced. This model is 11 by 5 inches with 5/16" terminals, metal and ceramic, and comes in black. Information technology is sold individually.

Burned out heater element
Remove the kicking plate from the lesser of the dryer past sliding a putty knife along the height border to release the plastic clamps, one on each side about 4" in from the edges. The kick plate folds out and down. You will see the rut shield on the right, held in past one hex head screw. Remove screw and oestrus shield. The element is positioned in an open-front housing and is fastened to the left side of the housing by two hex head screws, located on the "rail" of the element and right near the two wires. Remove the hex-head screws that concur the element in place and disconnected the two wires by pulling them out by hand or with needle nose pliers. The only difficulty here is the cramped working area...I recommend a chubby socket driver for these two screws. Most of this I had to do by feel considering I could non see the screw heads. One time the screws are out and the wires have been disconnected, slide the sometime element straight out toward you. You may need to disconnect a pocket-sized plastic hose located to the left front of the element, just this hose just pulls right off. Vacume the dust & lint build-upwardly out of the whole area, wipe out the element housing and make clean upwardly the whole underside of the dryer prior to installing the new chemical element. Installation is reverse of removal. It also might exist a adept opportunity to make clean out your exhaust duct and the vent to the outside. (Never use the aluminum foil-accordian-type duct.) If the exterior dryer vent has any kind of screen over information technology, remove it and become rid of information technology. Screens collect lint, lint builds upward and burns out elements. viii inch burner wouldn't come on. Wires shorted out
One screw holds the block onto the stove top. Had to clean out fitting for phillips screwdriver or screw would have stripped considering information technology was old with lots of buildup. Even cleaned out, this spiral required nifty strength with phillips screwdriver to keep from stripping. Caution! If you strip information technology, you lot'll have to drill it out! The rest was a snap. Cut the old wires leading to the one-time block (not as well close to where wires disappear into back of stove, though!). Strip insulation off both wires and attach with the connectors that came in the kit. Then button the wires into the block, and finally, attach the cake back to the stove elevation (new screw is supplied). Restore power and everything should be fine. One trouble: Roper/Whirlpool built their appliance in such a way that when the connector block shorts out, it normally takes the infinite switch with it. So I ended up having to go back and buy that switch as well (which just and so happens to cost twice to three times equally much!). If you put it all back together and it still doesn't piece of work, that's probably what happened, so go alee and remove the knob panel and check that switch (it'southward right backside the control knobs on the front). You will probably find a burned connector at the back top left or the switch. Don't forget to write down which wire goes where (or just take a picture of it). Read more...

Timer won't advance for auto-sensing cycles. Low Heat.
First I unplugged the dryer from the wall outlet. Then, removed the access panel in the lower front (held on by 2 screws most the flooring). Then, I removed the blackness plastic air duct (held by 3 screws) in front of the blower. And then, with a Sharpie marker, next to each wire terminal lug, I labeled on the chassis the COLOR of each wire where it plugs on to a terminal lug (for proper wiring re-associates after). Then, thru the lower front, I reached into the lower left rear of the dryer to remove the heating element assembly from its metallic duct (held by 3 or 4 screws) - information technology slides downward a bit, and so information technology is hands removable. I layed the element on the floor in front of the dryer - all wiring still intact. Then, using the NEW HEATING ELEMENT and SENSORS ordered, I assembled them to match the original, re-using screws off of the old unit - and moving the wiring ane-by-one from the original to the new assembly. I and so installed the new heating element assembly into the duct at the lower rear of the dryer. I and then replaced the 2 sensors on the front metal panel of blower housing, with new parts from my club, re-using the original wiring and screws. Then I re-installed the black plastic duct onto the front of the blower. Then, on the top of the dryer, I dissassembled the control panel from the rear, by removing 5 screws. I and then establish the resistor mounted on the back of the timer, and replaced it with the new one. Since the new resistor did not come with terminal lugs crimped on its wires, I had to cutting the terminal lugs off of the original resistor and solder them onto the new resistor. I then reassembled the command panel. I then plugged the dryer back into the wall outlet and did a test run with no clothes. Information technology WORKED !! Then I reinstalled the lower front access panel and ran the dryer with wet clothes. It WORKED !! Read more than...
